Final Assignment : ArtBook!

Final Assignment!
It was my first time to make kind of book.
I really love this assignment.
It took long time though.
I tried to put side of colorful paper for the cover of my book, because we did a lot of paper print work.
I thought it can be book and I got new knowledge, so stack of book means new knowledge and my art work.
I really love this class and it was my first step to be a graphic designer.
Thank you everybody, especially, teacher Willcocks :)
You gave me big encouragement.

Bee House

Bee house
I tried to all of object shape as a hexagon shape.
Bees live together, so I made 6 different size of house.
I took every parts from my house. I took seperated part and assembled together, and made house.

I thoutht about artificial bee have and natural bee hive.
Artificial bee hive has a lot of room for bees.
Hexagonal windows will tell us this is bee house and differen room.
I gonna put the gate for the cover.

Natural bee hive is rounded house.
It's hard to cover that with object, so I'm going to put the shade on that.
It will make that round.

I don't read comic book a lot, so I had to check a lot of comic books for this.
I tried to find how to use the shade. I couldn't get the style exactly, but I tried as much as I can.

This is final one I made. It's like Dictionary Symbol. [ ]  If you find a dictionary Word 'BEE' you can find bee and [bíː] this sound is same as Be verb 'BE'. I think it has a lot of application. For example I can make a slogan  with this logo 'be creative' I can put that logo instead of word 'be' I can put that logo where 'be' is in.

*I changed empty space. Yes, it looks more comfortable I think. And it looks one logo. first one looks like different two logo

At first I tried to make a letter BEE with Bee hive, but it not recognizable. I changed to bottom one.

I tried to make a logo with trace of bee. 

Typography style. I sketched letter BEE with bee hive.

I tried to make a Logo with just type. Teacher edited some. It was very small change, but it was awesome idea. I'm deciding how can I use this logo. I need to think about it more.

I tried to make a Bee Logo with stammerer. Right one is first idea and teacher gave me some idea. Maybe I can use this logo for some kind of food with honey or restaurant.

Left one is um...I'm from Korea. We have some special medical skill is known as acupuncture. And sometime acupuncture doctor use sting for treat. It can save life. That was my first thought. After draw sketch I think volunteer works or medical center is better for this logo.

Right one is for the company which is related with helicopter, obviously.

I give more detail with helicopter one.

It takes so long time and I'm not good at color yet. I was trying to follow exact color, but it's not enough. If I use gradation tool, it would be better. I need to get used to use that tool. :)

Anyway, it was fun. I really like it. Thank you for teaching me teacher, espeacially, fur part. That part teaching was really helpful and amazing, Thank you.
